Participate in Endorsements

Snohomish County Indivisible (SCI) endorsements are an important part of our work. They reflect our values, our judgment, and our willingness, as capacity allows, to support candidates who align with our mission and help build political power for democracy and justice.

1

Nominate a Candidate

Members in good standing may nominate a candidate for endorsement consideration.

To do so, please submit:
-Candidate name
-Office sought
-A brief explanation of why you believe they should be considered

All nominations are reviewed by the Endorsement Committee, which will determine whether to move forward with the process. Nominations should be sent to [email protected].

2

Provide Input on Candidates

Before final decisions are made, members in good standing may be invited to share input. This can include:
-Support or concerns
-Relevant background or experience with the candidate
-Context about the race

Member input is advisory and helps inform the Committee’s evaluation.

3

Serve on the Endorsement Committee

When seats become available, members in good standing may be considered for appointment. Committee members play a central role in reviewing candidates and making endorsement decisions.

4

Assist with Candidate Communications

Help the Communications Manager research and disseminate candidate support opportunities.

Thank you for being part of this work and for helping ensure our endorsements reflect both our values and our collective effort.

For this process, a member in good standing is someone who:

-Supports SCI’s mission and values
-Has attended meetings regularly
-Has participated in SCI activities in a meaningful way within the past 12 months
-Agrees to follow our Code of Conduct
-Is willing to support endorsed candidates, as capacity allows

We recognize that participation can take many forms, there is no single way to contribute.
